La Odăi began as a place built for our family. Today, it welcomes those looking to spend a few days close to nature.
We are the Letca family, and La Odăi is our way of carrying forward our respect for nature and for the places that shaped us. We grew up in Peștera village and wanted to create a space where people could discover the beauty of the mountains, the quiet of the area, and the joy of simple things.
Today, La Odăi welcomes you with wooden cabins, carefully built and naturally integrated into the landscape we have known since childhood.
Just a few minutes from Bran, Peștera still carries the atmosphere of a mountain village where time moves more gently. Mornings begin with coffee and mountain views, while evenings end in a kind of quiet that is increasingly difficult to find in the city. La Odăi has grown with the place without changing its character.
It all began after a holiday in Great Britain, where we discovered a different way of spending time in nature. We returned home wanting to create a place close to the landscape, true to Peștera village and to the values we grew up with.
We built the first cabin on our family’s land, in the place once used by our great-grandparents. From there, the project grew step by step while keeping the same idea: respect for nature, for the place, and for the people who come here.
Part of the electricity used at La Odăi is generated by photovoltaic panels, while some of the water comes from mountain springs and rainwater. Every choice grows from the wish to respect the landscape and the resources around it.
In the past, odăi were shelters built for animals during winter. When evening found people far from the village, they stayed overnight in the lofts of these buildings. We chose the name La Odăi as a link to the history of the place and the people who lived here. The story continues.
